Long distance runner Mo Farah named ambassador for Djibouti ports

[divider style=”solid” top=”20″ bottom=”20″][dropcap]M[/dropcap]o Farah, a British long distance runner and a double Olympic medalist has been named  Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority ambassador.

The authority tweeted:” We were delighted to be joined by Mo_Farah at the ceremony to launch the regeneration of the historical Port of Djibouti! DPFZA is thrilled to have Sir Mo as our ambassador and look forward to collaborating on future projects.”

Mo Farah also unveiled the news on twitter:  “Happy to announce my new role as ambassador for Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority”

 

Born in Somaliland, Mo Farah’s new role now puts him in competition against his country’s  Berbera Port that is under refurbishment and seeking to become the regional port of call.
