Plans to introduce parking charges at popular beauty spots in the New Forest are under discussion, sparking debate among locals, visitors, and conservationists.
Forestry England and the New Forest National Park Authority recently held private meetings to discuss implementing charges across nearly all of the park’s 130 car parks. The move comes amid financial challenges in maintaining these sites, with reduced government funding affecting their upkeep.
