oneworld awarded Best Airline Alliance by Business Traveller UK

The oneworld® Alliance has once again been named Best Airline Alliance by the readers of Business Traveller UK, taking home the prestigious award for 10 years running.

Winners in the Business Traveller Awards, which were established more than 30 years ago, are chosen by the publication’s readers. The awards this year were presented on 31 October in London – marking the first in-person celebration since the start of the pandemic.

oneworld member airlines British Airways and Qatar Airways also received several honours in this year’s Business Traveller Awards:

  • British Airways: Best Short-Haul Carrier; Best Frequent Flyer Programme; Best Airport Lounge (Concorde Room, London Heathrow T5); Best Travel App
  • Qatar Airways: Best Long-Haul Airline; Best Middle Eastern Airline; Best Business Class; Best Inflight Food and Beverage

Less than three months ago, oneworld was named Favourite Airline Alliance by readers of Trazee Travel, an online publication targeted at travellers aged 25 to 40. The alliance’s recent award wins continue to demonstrate oneworld’s popularity among customers returning to the skies as travel resumes globally.

oneworld Chairman and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive His Excellency Akbar Al Baker said: “Being named Best Airline Alliance by the readers of Business Traveller UK for 10 consecutive years is a testament to oneworld member airlines’ utmost commitment to excellence. This honour is a recognition of the efforts of member airline employees, who have consistently showcased exemplary customer service through the years.”

oneworld CEO Rob Gurney said: “For a decade now, readers of Business Traveller UK have placed their confidence in oneworld and named us Best Airline Alliance year after year. Their support has been unwavering and on behalf of all our member airlines, I want to thank them for continuing to choose us as their preferred airline alliance.”
