NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Unveils Revolutionary RTX 5000 Series at CES 2025

At the highly anticipated CES 2025 event, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang introduced the next era of graphics technology with the unveiling of the GeForce RTX 5000 series, built on the cutting-edge “Blackwell” architecture.

This new lineup promises to redefine gaming, AI workloads, and graphics-intensive tasks with unmatched performance.

RTX 5000 Series: A Leap in Graphics Performance

The RTX 5000 series promises substantial upgrades over its predecessors, with Huang emphasizing the GPUs’ capabilities in real-time ray tracing and AI-driven tasks. Among the standout offerings are:

  • RTX 5090: Priced at $1,999, this flagship model sets a new standard for high-end gaming and AI applications. With its exceptional performance, the RTX 5090 will be a game-changer for professional creators and hardcore gamers alike.
  • RTX 5080: At $999, the RTX 5080 brings premium gaming experiences to a broader audience, providing enhanced ray-tracing and AI features that elevate visual fidelity and responsiveness.
  • RTX 5070 Ti: This model, priced at $749, offers an ideal balance for gamers seeking high-end performance without breaking the bank. It’s expected to be a top choice for those who want excellent value in a mid-tier GPU.
  • RTX 5070: Available for $549, the RTX 5070 offers impressive gaming performance, particularly for enthusiasts and those looking to get the most out of their rigs.

All models in the RTX 5000 series come equipped with NVIDIA’s fourth-generation Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology, which uses AI to upscale images from lower resolutions while maintaining high levels of detail. This results in smoother gameplay and faster frame rates, even in demanding titles.

Project DIGITS: NVIDIA’s Next-Gen AI Supercomputer

In addition to the RTX 5000 series, Huang also unveiled Project DIGITS, a groundbreaking AI desktop computer designed for data scientists, AI researchers, and students.

Powered by the GB10 Blackwell Superchip, Project DIGITS delivers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance, providing researchers with unparalleled computational power at their fingertips.

With a starting price of $3,000, Project DIGITS will launch in May 2025. The system is designed to cater to the growing demand for AI research and development, making it easier for professionals and students to harness the power of machine learning and deep learning at an affordable price.

NVIDIA’s Vision for the Future

Huang’s keynote was a testament to NVIDIA’s unwavering commitment to leading the AI and gaming industries. The introduction of the RTX 5000 series and Project DIGITS highlights NVIDIA’s dedication to driving advancements in both consumer technology and enterprise solutions.

“We’re entering a new era where AI will reshape how we live, work, and play,” Huang said during his keynote. “NVIDIA is here to enable the next generation of creators, gamers, and innovators with our powerful new GPUs and AI supercomputing platforms.”

The announcements come at a pivotal moment as NVIDIA continues to shape the future of AI, with the company solidifying its position at the forefront of the AI revolution.

With the RTX 5000 series and Project DIGITS, Huang emphasized that NVIDIA is not only changing the way games are played but also empowering professionals to push the boundaries of AI research and innovation.
