Lufthansa Announces Free Messaging on All Long-Haul Flights Starting Summer 2025

Lufthansa is set to launch a groundbreaking new service for its passengers—free messaging on all long-haul flights starting in the summer of 2025.

The airline will offer unlimited messaging on popular apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and iMessage, at no additional cost to travelers, enhancing the in-flight experience for those on international journeys.

The new initiative will be available across all cabin classes, meaning passengers flying in economy, business, and first class will all enjoy access to the service.

This marks a significant expansion of Lufthansa’s connectivity offerings, following its successful introduction of free messaging on short and medium-haul flights in early 2024.

Lufthansa’s move comes as part of a broader trend of improving in-flight services, with passengers increasingly seeking to stay connected during their flights.

\While messaging will be offered for free, other internet services, such as full Wi-Fi access, will still carry charges. Passengers are encouraged to verify service options and associated costs when booking their flights.

In addition to improving passenger satisfaction, the airline’s free messaging service aims to bridge the gap between air travel and real-time communication, ensuring travelers can easily stay in touch with family, friends, and colleagues during their journeys.

By offering this new benefit, Lufthansa continues to position itself as a leader in air travel innovation, catering to the evolving needs of its passengers while also contributing to the modern travel experience.

For more information on the service and additional offerings, passengers can visit Lufthansa’s official website or check with customer service when booking their flights.
