Ethiopia gears up for first Railway Summit

The first Ethiopia Railway Summit will be held at Sheraton Hotel Addis Ababa on 17-18 September 2018 with a focus on railway transportation infrastructure development, operation and financing.

This high-level event will provide a unique platform for international railway technology companies, investors and financial institutions to engage with Ethiopian decision-makers on short-term and long-term cooperation possibilities.

First-hand information on Ethiopia’s railway transportation and investment policies, priority projects, procurement opportunities, new public-private partnership framework and other potential project partnerships, financing and investment opportunities will be made available at the summit.

The summit will offer a first-of-its-kind platform to engage with key decision-makers of the railway sectors in Ethiopia.

First-hand presentations, roundtable discussions and One-on-One meetings will provide unique insights in current trends and concrete business opportunities in the booming Ethiopian railway industry.

In-depth discussion with senior level government representatives will ensure that participants obtain detailed information and direct contacts for capturing project financing, investment, construction and operation opportunities.

The Summit will present concrete possibilities within ongoing and upcoming Ethiopian railway and light rail projects for:

Construction & Operations, including in track and logistics infrastructure, signaling and communication, and operations and maintenance.

Financing & Investment, including through public-private partnerships, private equity and climate finance.
