Entergy’s Operation Secret Santa Brings Holiday Joy to Families in Need

In a heartwarming display of holiday generosity, Entergy’s annual Operation Secret Santa initiative spread festive cheer to families in need across the region this holiday season.

The program, which surprises customers with bill payment assistance, brought much-needed relief to low-income families, enabling them to enjoy the holidays without the stress of utility bills hanging over them.

Since its launch in 2014, Operation Secret Santa has been a cornerstone of Entergy’s commitment to supporting the community.

This year, the initiative continued its tradition of helping families facing financial difficulties by covering their utility bills, ensuring that those who needed it most could celebrate without the added pressure of outstanding payments.

“During the holiday season, it’s important to remember the people who are struggling to make ends meet,” said [Entergy Executive’s Name]. “Operation Secret Santa is our way of giving back to the community and making sure that families can enjoy the warmth of the holidays, both literally and figuratively.”

As part of the surprise, Entergy employees, including members of the leadership team, dressed as Santa and visited customers at the Canal Street Customer Care Center to deliver the good news in person.

The initiative has become a beloved tradition, creating memorable moments for families who would otherwise have been unable to keep up with their bills during the winter months.

In addition to the surprise bill payments, Entergy continues to run “The Power to Care” program, which supports seniors and individuals with disabilities who are facing hardships. Since its inception, The Power to Care has raised over $50 million, assisting more than 250,000 customers in need.

This season’s Operation Secret Santa not only showcased Entergy’s ongoing commitment to giving back but also highlighted the importance of community support during challenging times.

Families who received assistance expressed their gratitude, acknowledging that the unexpected help made their holiday season brighter.

“Entergy’s support has made a real difference in our lives,” said one recipient. “We were struggling, and this has lifted a huge burden. It’s a wonderful gift, and we’re so thankful for the help.”

As Entergy prepares for next year’s initiative, the company remains dedicated to its mission of providing support to customers in need and fostering a sense of unity during the holiday season.
