Capital Infra Trust InvIT IPO Opens for Subscription, Targets ₹1,578 Crore

 


The Capital Infra Trust’s Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) initial public offering (IPO) opened for subscription today and is set to remain open until January 9, 2025.

With a targeted fundraising of ₹1,578 crore, the IPO has drawn considerable attention from investors in India and abroad.

The price band for the issue is fixed at ₹99-₹100 per unit. Investors can bid for a minimum of 150 units, and thereafter in multiples of 150. The IPO has already secured ₹703 crore from anchor investors ahead of its public opening, signaling strong institutional interest.

Offering Details: The funds raised through the IPO will be directed towards infrastructure projects and other capital expenditures, with the goal of enhancing returns for unit holders.

This move aligns with the government’s push for infrastructure development as a cornerstone of economic growth.

The Capital Infra Trust’s InvIT is the latest in a series of infrastructure-focused investment vehicles that have gained popularity for providing investors with opportunities to participate in large-scale projects while enjoying stable yields.

The grey market premium (GMP) for the IPO, which reflects investor sentiment ahead of listing, is reportedly steady, indicating optimistic expectations for its performance upon listing.

Listing and Key Dates: Post-subscription, the allotment of units is expected to be finalized by January 12, 2025. Refunds will be initiated by January 13, with credited units anticipated on January 14. The InvIT is set to debut on the domestic stock exchanges on January 14, 2025.
