The Dubai office will be headed by Philip Wiencken, who has already been responsible for the Ultrabulk activities in the region for the past 3 years, working out of our Singapore office.
“Opening an office in Dubai is incredibly exciting for us and we look forward to being able to serve our customers even better by having a local presence. We hope to continue to build on our existing platform and derive more synergies with our teams in Cape Town and Singapore”, Philip Wiencken states.
CEO Per von Appen continues: “We are very pleased with the support we have been getting from customers in the Middle East region over the recent years. Our foothold in the Middle East market combined with our focus on Africa, for both the larger and smaller vessels, have provided significant synergies between our teams.”
The Dubai office will be the 8th office on Ultrabulk. Ultrabulk is operating more than 160 ships transporting in excess of 52 million MT of dry bulk annually. Ultrabulk is part of Ultranav operating more than 400 vessels including tankers, bulkers, gas carriers and tugs.
