Following the huge success of Maritime Week Africa in Cape Town in January 2023, the event will return to Cape Town on 23-25 January 2024 to mark its 15th anniversary.
Maritime Week Africa is the longest-running and most popular bunkering event on the African continent.
It has earned a reputation for attracting the most eminent industry speakers, bringing together key bunker buyers and suppliers, as well as ports, refiners, regulators and other leading maritime professionals to highlight the unique issues and opportunities relating to the African bunkering industry.
The packed conference programme will focus on traditional fuels as well as new and emerging fuels and technologies, an area that everyone in the shipping and bunkering sectors – in Africa and beyond – is now having to embrace as international regulations and consumer demand drive shipowners and charterers to reduce emissions and run on ‘greener’ more sustainable fuels.
It will also examine how better collaboration among industry stakeholders and regulators – in South Africa, the African Continent and beyond – might benefit the industry at large.
The week will include a selection of shipping, bunkering and alternative fuels training courses, a C-Suite level Forum, a waterborne tour of Cape Town Harbour, and some spectacular networking opportunities.
